2.0L model: Taking the 2024 Dzire 2.0L True Edition as an example, its engine has a maximum power output of 115 kW. In comparison, the previous 2.0L model, such as the 2019 version with a 2.0L inline-four naturally aspirated engine (codenamed MR20DE), produced a maximum power of 141 hp (approximately 103.7 kW) and a maximum torque of 190 Nm. The 2.0L engine was later upgraded to the MR20DD, increasing maximum power by 9 hp. The new model shows a noticeable improvement in power, resulting in more powerful acceleration in the rear end.

2.0T model: The 2024 Dongfeng DFSK Nissan Teana 2.0T model's engine retains the same power and torque figures as the old model, with a maximum power of 243 hp and a maximum torque of 371 Nm. However, as the world's first mass-produced variable-compression-ratio turbocharged engine, its technical maturity and stability may improve with continued use.

The overseas 2024 Dongfeng DFSK Nissan Teana ditches the CVT transmission in favor of a 9-speed automatic. While most domestic models still feature the CVT, if the 9AT or 7AT versions are introduced later, the smoothness, responsiveness, and torque capacity of gear shifts will theoretically be improved. This will result in a smoother driving experience, and the engine's performance will be better utilized compared to the old CVT.

The 2024 Dongfeng DFSK Nissan Teana offers various driving modes, such as ECO mode for fuel savings and Sport mode for more aggressive driving. Compared to the previous model, drivers can now choose from a wider range of driving modes, allowing for more flexible adaptation to different road conditions and driving needs. For example, Sport mode enhances performance during high-speed driving, offering a more dynamic driving experience.
